NVQ LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN STEELFIXING OCCUPATIONS (CONSTRUCTION) (QCF)

Courses Overview

This qualification is relevant to people who wish to develop a career in the construction and built environment sector working in civil engineering. It is designed to give learners the occupational competence required to carry out Steelfixing in Construction, an essential part of building and civil engineering projects in the private or public domain, where steel is required to reinforce and/ or underpin at the start of the building process.

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for operatives who are working in the construction industry in steelfixing, either experienced or just starting out in the industry.

How you will be assessed?

The qualification is delivered on-site by one of our specialist NVQ Assessors.The assessment is being made via the portfolio of evidence. A high level of support will also be provided to help you complete the NVQ requirements.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, potential candidates must be able to demonstrate to us they can meet the requirements of the qualification before enrolment.

Progression Routes

Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to :
- Work in Steelfixing
- Industry will accept the qualification on its own as entry to a job role.
- Progress onto a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision
In addition, successful achievement of the qualification will allow the individual to apply for a Blue CSCS card.
