NVQ LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN PLANT OPERATIONS (QCF)
Courses Overview
This Plant Operation course sets out to produce plant operators trained to operate a specific range of machines. This NVQ is a competence-based qualification which are designed to provide learners with an opportunity to demonstrate, in a real workplace environment.
If you are in plant operations but don't have the qualification, this route may be what you are looking for. With the requirement for all site workers to hold skilled worker cards, the need for experienced tradesmen to gain NVQs has never been more important. Without the right qualification, you will be unable to gain access to site to undertake your work as a Plant Operator.
Who is the course for?
This course is ideal for operatives who are working as a Plant operative in the construction. Our qualification is designed to assess the competence and knowledge of plant operatives across a range of occupational routes. The exact title of the qualification achieved depends on the type of plant you use.
The qualification allows you to select units which apply specifically to your plant operations work.
How you will be assessed?
The qualification is delivered on-site by one of our specialist NVQ Assessors. The assessment is being made via the portfolio of evidence. A high level of support will also be provided to help you complete the NVQ requirements.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, potential candidates must be able to demonstrate to us they can meet the requirements of the qualification before enrolment.
Progression Routes
Achievement of this qualification confirms the learner has gained the knowledge and skills required to :
- Work in the construction industry specialising in Plant Operations.
- Industry will accept the qualification on its own as entry to a job role.
- Progress onto a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision
In addition, successful achievement of the qualification will allow the individual to apply for a Blue CPCS card OR convert a CPCS Red Trained Plant Operator Card to a CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card.
